As a workaround you can use Click-to-Run installations of Microsoft Office 2013 to revert to the previous version.

Here is useful script you can use to revert back to previous version.

  1. You can change updatetoversion=15.0.xxxx.xxxx and forceappshutdown=TrueFalse

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\ClientX64\officec2rclient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=15.0.4737.1003 updatepromptuser=True forceappshutdown=True displaylevel=True
