Dialing in to Skype for Business Conference Call with single click.

Dialing in to Skype for Business Conference Call with single click.

Recently Microsoft has updated Meeting Invites experience that are generated by the Skype for Business desktop client with clickable Dial-in string to allow Dial-in to conference with single click.

It is useful when users Dial-in Skype Online meeting from their Mobile phone conference invitation without Skype for Business Mobile client or with Skype Mobile client whoever, while driving or when they don’t have good network connectivity or simply dial-in instead of join from Skype Mobile app.

Meeting attendee can simply click on clickable phone number which will dial-out to first dial the bridge number (+1-xxx-xx37373), then pause, then send the Conference ID (59756406) through DTMF tones, completing with the pound (#) sign. Phone number format: dial-in number as tel:,#. Refer below screenshot for more information.
Without Clickable Dial-in string invite:
With clickable Dial-in string invite:

Requirement for formatting of the dial-in string:
1.    Skype for Business Server / Lync Server 2013 on premises, no requirement needed from server side.

2.    For Skype for Business Online (Hosted in Office365), the meeting organizer needs a license for Cloud PSTN Conferencing (CPC). They also need to be leveraging Dynamic PSTN meetings.

3.    Clickable Dial-in string, feature depends on Outlook client versions. Following Outlook client supports this:

a.     Outlook 2016 Click to Run (C2R) installs only

b.    Minimum version 16.0.7369.2038 (Current Channel - October 2016)

Following Outlook client / version doesn’t support this:

a.     Outlook 2016 MSI installs will not work.

b.    Outlook 2013 C2R and MSI installs will not work.

c.     The meeting needs to be created using Outlook Client. (Outlook Web App [OWA] won’t work)

Thank you.

Resolution: By default Lync Meeting Scheduling Outlook Addin or Skype Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office 2013 installs wit load behavior "Load at Startup". However due to some conflict users Lync or Skype add-ins load behavior get changed to loaded instead of "Load at Startup" had to re-enable Lync Meeting Add-In in each time Outlook 2013 was started as it was not set to "Load at Startup". Look at the below screenshot. Now question is how we can change load behavior …
